A part of Simone’s Master’s degree is to gain practical experience from innovation processes. She will for the next 10 weeks work full-time as an intern at NCE Finance Innovation.

- As an intern, I hope to come up with new ideas to create growth and value for NCE Finance Innovation and its members, says Simone Brattli.

Her tasks in the cluster will include planning and coordinating activities in the cluster, communication, in addition to the execution of projects and workshops with our members. In general, she will be a contributor to the development of the cluster and help us with our ambitious goals on innovation, growth and value creation.

After her internship in NCE Finance Innovation Simone is headed over to Oslo for a two-month summer internship at DNB.

I am confident that an internship in NCE Finance Innovation will give me relevant knowledge and experience for my further career. The goal is to continue to gain expertise from the financial technology industry, and hopefully get a relevant and exciting job after my graduation.

- Simone Brattli

Rea Parashar, Head of Communications in NCE Finance Innovation believes that the internship will be beneficial for both the Cluster and Simone.

- I am sure that Simone will gain valuable experience and insights during her time with us. Simone has already demonstrated a passion and interest for our work and has shown a particular interest in our Know Your Customer project and in our startups. It will be refreshing and insightful for the team to have Simone on board.

- It is interesting to see how the process of receiving new customers is still such a challenging and manual process for many companies. With new anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, companies are required to focus and make the necessary measures to comply with the law. Hopefully there will come new ways to automate the process, so that the client onboarding process gets quicker and more efficient. Therefore I am very excited to take part in the planning and execution of the Think:KYC workshop with Rea and Simen, says Brattli.

- With her ongoing Master’s in Innovation and Management and Summer Internship at DNB, Simone has come to the right place. We are all excited to work with Simone the next weeks, says Simen Armond, Head of Projects in NCE Finance Innovation.

Why did you apply for an internship at NCE Finance Innovation?
I’d already eyed out NCE Finance Innovation as the ideal internship before the match-making even began. I literally ran over to Rea and Simen and pitched why the Cluster was the best choice for me.

When the national cluster for financial technology is based in Bergen, there was no doubt I wanted to join their team. Getting to work together with corporates, academia, startups and investors all at the same time is very unique and not an opportunity that comes along very often. The work NCE Finance Innovation does together with their innovative members through projects and other activities really sparked my interest.
